Dr. Erik Agustín Márquez Gutiérrez is a plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgeon, an international member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, a full member of the Mexican Association of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery, A.C.; a member of the Ibero-Latin American Federation of Plastic Surgery, and a board-certified Plastic Surgeon by the Mexican Council of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Márquez completed his plastic surgery specialization at the "Dr. Manuel Gea González" General Hospital, a prestigious training center led by the prominent plastic surgeon, UNAM Honorary Doctor, Dr. Fernando Ortiz-Monasterio. He trained at the Brazilian Institute for Cancer Control and the Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo, Brazil, as well as at the University Clinical Hospital in Valencia, Spain. He also completed a Fellowship in aesthetic surgery with Dr. Fernando Molina Montalva at Ángeles del Pedregal Hospital.
He won First Place in the International Resident Competition of the Ibero-Latin American Federation of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2010 in Panama City and Second Place in the National Resident Competition of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery "Dr. Fernando Ortiz Monasterio" in 2009.

Currently, he is a full professor at UNAM for the specialization course in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the National Institute of Rehabilitation "Dr. Luis Guillermo Ibarra Ibarra" and an attending physician at the National Research and Patient Care Center for Burn Victims (CENIAQ). His professional license number is 4050376, his specialist license is 5907321, and his certification number with the Mexican Council of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is 1496.
